Vinyl oçnly / Red coloured vinyl! Think of deep house and it isnt all that
often that the casts its attention on Spain, a country more famous for its
hedonistic forays into the tougher side of dance music, but all that started to
change a few years back when Above Smoke (or Javier to his Mum) and brother Jose
aka Dubbyman set up the rather superb Deep Explorer music. Impressed as FOF team
were, they askeded as FOF team
were, they asked Javier to provide a demo for them, and this release is the
results. Beautiful musical and musically deep, the Fear Of Flying imprint is
really quite chuffed to be able to present these 3 tracks on their very limited
vinyl only label. “Jazzt Me” rounds things off with its broken beats and heavy
atmospherics. “Upset” will probably be viewed as the more accessible of the 3
with a punchy kick but still retains a sense of emotion with beautiful pads. And
finally, “The Damned” smoulders with a seductive old piano sample and classic
deep house drums. Limited to 300 coloured vinyl only copies!
