Amir has been pushing house music for a long period as a DJ in his hometown Mainz, with numerous gigs in his resident club 50 Grad and clubs all around south Germany. In Mainz Amir is alongside Butch the person who is considered the one who knows what house music is all about. The label Bouq. he is involved with has a strong following and allows him to plan events for free featuring the whole Bouq. crew. His latest release came out on NRK Music and his third release on Trapez ltd is already fulfilling one part of his new master plan. Amir has planned a series of releases that all run under the title of Vernissage intending to create space for creativity showing that his skills are not limited to one kind of style. With Vernissage One on Trapez ltd Amir kicks off a beat which could have been written by Herbert. As Amir says himself his beats are ongoing a constant change, nothing stays the same. “Cadaques” indeed highlights a spiritual quality that is expressed by ethno sounds, constantly shifting dynamics and a feeling for deepness. The flipside “Guernica” extends this feeling in a nice way, creating a super hypnotic groove, involving acoustic percussion, nature sounds, live atmosphere of vocals and sounds that reminded him of Spain. Santé aka Philipp Maier the co-producer of Tiefschwarz has done a dub remix of “Cadaques” which reminds us of Chicago house music of the early 90s, respectively of “Pressure Cooker”. Later appearing psychedelic passages could make it a cool “deranged after hour track”. Welcome back André Kraml! After joining MBF a long time ago he now teams up with Alienized, his mate he wrote and recorded “Safari” with. This remix of Amir´s “Guernica” is a “French Kiss” flavoured track with a magic build up that relies on an hypnotic 4 minute intro (!) perfect for DJs who like the slack and trippy end of things with electronic dance music. Dead cool for DJs who like the deeper and mighty side on Trapez ltd!

Tiefschwarz and Souvenir Records proudly present: TIEFSCHWARZ “MELTED CHOCOLATE 1”. No summer break for Tiefschwarz! On top of touring the world with their new live show together with Santé and their always edgy DJ sets, Ali and Basti Schwarz have collected outstanding new remix materials inspired by the candy world of their last LP “Chocolate”, which will be released from now on in a series of “Melted Chocolate” singles including remix contributions by REBOOT, SOULCLAP, PENNER & MUDER, SIS, GUIDO SCHNEIDER, RUEDE HAGELSTEIN, KIKI and THE TIEFSCHWARZ brothers themselves. The 29th EP release on their own Souvenir imprint compiled a first set of those extra gifts: one TIEFSCHWARZ REWORK version of “STONES”, two remixes by Guido Schneider and SIS of “FIND ME” featuring CASSY and one remix by RUEDE HAGELSTEIN of “LEGENDS”. In other words: four more opportunities to play “Chocolate” over the months to come. Tiefschwarz’s “STONES REWORK” has the rhythmical obedience and intricacies of a fully automated machine. It is easy to get lost in the plethora of alternate beats that merge in and out of each other. Layering on top of this bed of percussion is the “blink and you miss” stabs of vocals and melodic synthesizers that build to a fantastic climax at the songs mid-point. Hypnotic is a term that is thrown about somewhat in these genres; this time…it has a rightful home in this track! Released early this year, “FIND ME” featuring CASSY has made it’s way to the charts of an incredible amount of twisted House experts and is a perfect counterpoint to “STONES”. With a much more organic flavor, GUIDO SCHNEIDER (A-list champion of Poker Flat) keeps a strong pace with the marching octave bass, large & lazy claps accentuate the beat with sweeping synthesizer swells that evolve into the lead vocal line sweetly delivered to finish off the arrangement. Highly praised for his previous inputs for Cecille Records and Ricardo Villalobos`s “Sei Es Drum” SIS turns CASSY´s vocals into spellbinding whispers. Deeply hypnotic, his remix driven by ethereal keynotes propel the dance floor stakhanovisti high in the sky. Perfect soundtrack for the early shine of the sun! Last but not least, Souvenir´s very own RUEDE HAGELSTEIN delivers another proof of his outstanding qualities with a superb remix of “LEGENDS”. Put on the heat: Melt the chocolate!
