With productions associated with the likes of Workshop or Farside to name a few, you can expect only the best from of this promising beat maker. ‘Sunday Walk’ starts things off slow with a long, drawn-out groover as the title suggests. You could say ‘Tune In’ is a direct continuation of the trip; maintaining the slow-mo vibe with a more focused approach. Sascha Dive picks up the tempo with his hot-headed edit of ‘Sunday Walk’. Its a darker and more energetic version that will shine in the bigger rooms, but is not limited to them. Rounding up the release is Nordrhein Westfalen’s producers Ingo Sänger & Henry L with their superslow, high energetic Dirty Disco Dub version of ‘Tune In’.

The second release from Foot & Mouth is something a little special from Bakers Dozen – a really heartbreaking and charmingly simple piano motif rendered three different ways. The big one is the “Full Piano Workout” obviously, which stretches the same four chords out in style over 11+ minutes over perfect house beats. There’s an edit if you don’t want to go the whole way, and a brilliant “pianopella” for dropping in a whole variety of situations. Already rated by Mixmag and You Can Call Me Pelski, this will take over from DJ Mehdi’s “Pocket Piano” as everyone’s favourite ivory tinkling moment.

Amam’s grooving output has quickly established the label as a dependable source for the current sound of Italy’s house scene, with owner Alessio Mereu always involved with the music’s production in some form or another. Until now, that is! Amam Extra is the new sub-label for more melodic sounds from his friends. For its first release, Mereu has invited Milan’s Tobia Coffa of Grey Area Recordings for two original tracks, plus two remixes from Timid Boy and Marcus Vector.
With “Back from the Moon”, Coffa brings us a souvenir from his lunar vacation, with a plump, juicy bassline melody dusted with spacey synthesizers for a cosmic effect on the dancefloor. Parisian producer Timid Boy (TuningSpork, Time Has Changed, Darkroom Dubs) offers a deeper version that focuses more on rhythmic interplay than the melody of the original.
“Sweet” offers a more soulful sound, with relaxed melodies from Detroit laid over but pumping old-school Chicago percussion. Belgium’s Marcus Vector (Contexterrior, Toys For Boys) takes the sweetness of the original into more unfamiliar territories, twisting the romance into moody hypnotic house.
