Do you remember this track from our beloved fellow swede and talented producer Axel Boman? Maybe yes, maybe no. It was first released digitally on Axel’s “Jungle Jesus EP” two years ago and got hammered by many big players including our friend Sasse from Moodmusic, Magda, DJ Koze among others… When we were planing upcoming releases on Ourvision we got asked by our producer friends to re-release Arcimboldo with some fresh remix work and thought, well, why the hell not!? Axel Boman is on fire. After the success of his last EP “Brass Fanatic”, he released on DJ Koze’s Pampa, has a new hot remix for Moodmusic coming and a future release for us as well, HOT! For remixing duties we have Sasse remixing one of his 2008 favourites and Gaspard de La Vega. First out on the A-side is the original mix of Arcimboldo. It’s been mixed (Not remixed!!) by a friend of Axel, Christoffer Berg, who’s produced for Fever Ray and Massive Attack and mixed for the The Knife. About the track, the music speaks for itself. On the B-side, Sasse starts with his remix that adds some more steroids, although staying close to the original mix. Looped vocals and fat bass, reverb and hi-hats making it perfectly suited for peaktime. After this we have Gaspard de La Vega’s mix. He takes out the lead at times, giving place for a driving bassline and some crispy effects.
